Orchid Cameron is Proud of Her ‘Resting Slut Face’

As soon as she walked up to the LA Bi+ Task Force booth at WeHo Pride I could tell she was a very funny person.

Orchid Cameron asked about the Task Force and what we do, and who we are, and then I turned the questions on her. What is she interested in doing as a bisexual locally? What does she do?

When I found out that not only is she a stand-up comedian, and she is launching her one-person show, I knew we had to find out more about her, and help promote her work. I was even more excited that she was in the Hollywood Fringe Festival where she would be showcasing her talent for the month of June.

We exchanged numbers and a few days later, she had me in complete stitches laughing the whole time about her life, her act, and her career.

Orchid Cameron (yes, that’s her real name) is bisexual and she’s mixed Asian. No, she doesn’t look Asian at all, but keeps having to prove that she is, and explain herself.

And, that’s what makes her funny.

She talks about serious stuff in her act. She’s aware that bisexuals are more targets…
