I so wanted to like this movie. I knew it was a comedy about two guys who get jilted by their girlfriends and then moving in together.

But, I hoped that it would be better than the epic gay failure of “Bros” last year starring Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane as two gay men in Manhattan who seem destined to never make it as a couple.

This unlikely double is played by Josh Brener and Lil Rel Howery who don’t ever see like they would ever be friends in real life ever. Brener is a likable and sort of handsome character actor, but he devolves his persona into a bunch of silly gross-out gags and one-line skits that seem to go nowhere.

OK, so maybe they are childhood friends who somehow remained friends after they grew up so differently, but their humor somehow is the same and involves childish pranks and humor that involves capturing dog farts inside condoms. If you’re…
